manta horns comparisons?

i would like to add a large format set to my collection.
On ebay there are two sets for a decent price MR 5124s and 564s.
The 5124s according to the altec lit has a really nice coverage pattern, but a slightly lower output than the 564s.
is coverage more important than theoretical output in this case?

Yes, as long as it 'fits' the app.

If you spread energy over a wider area it is less concentrated at any one point. I'd do the 5124.

You will have to turn them down anyway.

i was planning on using them outside or in a larger room. (the 511s work just fine in the living room.) i just want something that'll match the 816 VIs
